Meet one of the greatest assets to the T-Star Limousines team!
Harold’s professional experience includes thirteen years working for two of the most prominent sedan companies in the Mid-south (both have since relocated) and two of T-Star Limousines competitors. Upon seeing one of the T-Star Limousines chauffeurs in action at the airport, Harold decided to explore opportunities with the new chauffeurs in town. Now, two years into his career with T-Star Limousines, Harold is T-Star Limousine’s most popular and requested chauffeur.
Recently, we sat down with Harold to discuss his take on luxury chauffeured transportation and his favorite thing about working as a chauffeur. Check out our “interview” below.
Blog Team: Harold, how did you get your start in ground transportation?
I used to work as a medical technician delivering medical equipment. The company I was working for required me to have an F-Endorsement. Unfortunately, they went out of business and left me looking in the newspaper for a job. I noticed an ad that was looking for chauffeurs with an F-Endorsement. I didn’t have any experience, but I had my endorsement and got me hired. Soon after that, I was in business working as a chauffeur.
Blog Team: You’ve been in the business for a while. What are some of the more prominent changes that you’ve noticed?
The biggest thing that I’ve noticed is the effect the economy has had on all levels of chauffeured transportation. Poeple aren’t going out as much. Some businesses are cutting back on services like this. Some people just feel like they can’t afford a chauffeur so they don’t even look into it.
Blog Team: What do you think sets you apart as a world-class chauffeur?
I have a lot of passion for what I do. I’m eager to satisfy and cater to my clients. I make it my mission to take care of their needs before they realize they have a need to be sufficed. I also admit to be motivated by the financial reward. I go above and beyond because I know it will bring job security and hopefully some “gratified” clients.
Blog Team: What has been your most memorable chauffeuring experience?
For a while, I was the dedicated chauffeur for the CEO of a large company. We had established a good working relationship over time. One evening, I transported him and a guest to dinner. When I went back to pick them up, he informed me that he didn’t like his dinner and was actually still hungry. I took them to their next stop and while I waited, I made a quick run to what I knew was one of his favorite restaurants: Wendy’s. When it was time to pick him up, I offered him his meal. His appreciation was something that I can never forget. I thought it was a small gesture. He thought it was worthy of a $300 tip.
Blog Team: Thanks so much for taking a moment to chat with us, Harold! We appreciate you and all that you do.
Thank you for thinking of me. I’m about to get back to work.
